Planning on attending a stroke-related educational opportunity?
You may qualify for some funding support from the Northeastern Ontario Stroke Network Professional Education Fund.
The Northeastern Ontario Stroke Network’s Professional Education Fund is available to assist clinicians working in stroke care across the continuum, in our region, to incorporate best practices through learning opportunities about stroke. All applicants must review the Funding Process prior to applying to the fund. Once received, the application will be reviewed by the Professional Education Fund Education Committee for approval.
The intent of the fund is to provide financial assistance to enable a variety of stroke clinicians working in northeastern Ontario to attend strokeārelated educational opportunities that are not supported through alternate funding resources (e.g. global hospital budget, RNAO education fund, etc.). Our fund will support expenses such as tuition, travel, hotel and meals while attending the educational event. The maximum amount of funding per submission is anticipated to be $1000.00. Special exceptions may be considered.
Applications (fully completed) must be received by the Northeastern Ontario Stroke Network at least 6 weeks prior to the start date of your program/event if any advanced bookings/reservations are needed. Otherwise, applications (fully completed) not involving any advance bookings/reservations must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the start date of the program/event.
If you are approved for funding, you will be required to follow the Health Sciences North Travel Policy and use the Travel Agent assigned to Health Sciences North.
